About the Coaching Corps

The Rhize Coaching Corps is a dynamic, global network of veteran activists and coaches who are ready to connect today's emerging movement leaders with the training, best practices and support they need.

Coaches Are...

We are searching for our founding members of the Rhize Coaching Corps, eager contributors to the field of social movements and excited to help build new innovations. We are looking for coaches who are committed to diversity, participatory leadership and mentoring emerging movement leaders.

Founding members will be integral in shaping the Corps as we bring in new coaches to expand our training network around the world. They will help develop the critical DNA, innovate new mechanisms for delivery and just overall share an excitement for training and evolving the field and pedagogy of movement-building. Once you’re a Rhize coach, you’re a coach for life, as long as you continue to meet some of the basic requirements of being a part of the network.

The commitment:

For the founding Corps members, we are asking for a one-year intensive commitment, which includes:

  1. Participating in monthly community of practice calls with other Corps members

  2. Supporting and/or running monthly virtual trainings with activists in the Rhize network.

  3. Holding monthly virtual “office hours” for activists to ask questions and get guidance

  4. Attending two in-person week-long retreats with all coaches in the Spring and Autumn of 2017

  5. Taking ownership over the development of certain curriculum modules, based on skills, experience and availability

  6. Depending on a coach’s schedule and demand, coaches will “deploy” to run trainings, support different movement efforts and train new coaches.

  7. Regular responsiveness via digital communications

Beyond the baseline monthly commitments (approximately 6-16 hours/month, depending on the month), the Corps is designed to work for coaches’ schedules and availabilities. Coaches will be compensated at an hourly rate and will receive daily, internationally competitive rates when deployed for specific or more intensive projects.
